  This is an inspirational book about a pro athlete (tennis player) who fights through adversity to play the best tennis of his life after going through some great struggles, like his dad dieing, being diagnosed with zoster, and breaking his neck.  Through all this he came out a better person and player. This book is an interesting story about one mans struggles with a company and how his whole life was changed around by one change in power.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes the sport tennis or to someone who loves and inspirational story.

Tom Sanders is a computer engineer with DigiCom, a software design corporation based in Seattle. Tom, an old timer with over ten years at DigiCom, is preparing to take a promotion to head the division of Advanced Products.  He finds out that an old fling of his, Meredith Johnson will be given the office instead in the name of diversity. Tom being good trooper and works hard for the benefit of the company. But soon he uncovers information that could put Merideth out of a job. When his position is in jeopardy he tattles on Meredith. No one believes his story as she counters that he has assaulted her. Tom is forced into a battle for his job and his reputation.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good scyfi/thriller book it keeps you interested the whole time and is a fun read.

A Champions Mind By: Pete Sampras

Pete Sampras is a multi millioniare athlete living the life most of us would dream of. This book is a telling of how with all the money and all the fame comes a lot of hard work and dedication to the sport. You cant just wake up and be the best. This book starts right from the beginging were he started playing tennis at a young age of 5 and comes all the way through to 2002 when he last won the US Open Championship where he retired. You would think that professional tennis life would be a breeze but he shows you all the stress and expectations that he had to deal with his whole life.

I would recommend this book to someone who knows something about tennis and to someone who likes a inspirational story about one mans struggles and triumphs in life and sport.
